For some unknown reason we lost service to our cable/internet provider last week. Everything was working fine at 12:30 am when Chris was last on line, but when Trevor attempted to log on a mere five hours later, there was no service. After unsuccessfully trying all the little thing we know to try, we tried calling customer service--except our phone didn't work either since they are from the same provider. Not only that, but we had no television signal. Yep, that's right, no internet, no TV and no phone. (Luckily our cell phones are from a different provider so we could at least call and report the problem.) Kelsie said we were just like the pioneers!
For a day and a half we were without these modern day conveniences. We actually did sit around and look at each other for a little bit until we realized all the other things we could still do.
The thing I missed most? The internet. I didn't realize how much I like to get on and check my e-mail, catch up on facebook statuses, and make my scrabble moves. The thing I did not miss at all? The phone. It was so nice to not have the phone constantly ringing. I loved it! I think I'm all ready for the pioneer trek now!
